The Paddington Bear tourist trail opens on November 4th and we can’t wait! With actors like Benedict Cumberbatch, Emma Watson and Hugh Bonneville involved this looks to be a pretty star-studied trail. And where does it all end? Well the actual trail at Selfridges by way of the cinema where the new Paddington Bear film is released at the end of November.
Think blue duffel coats and bashed about brown suitcases and you’ve got the flavour of events. The trail, with 5o locations, goes to all all the best places as any self respecting bear would, the Royal Opera House, Heathrow Airport, Horse Guards and more. Click here for the map and trails.
We’re excited to see the little Peruvian fella given a new lease of life. We first fell in love with him way back in the 1950’s when he was found in Paddington Station by the Brown family with the only clue to his identity, a luggage label stating “Please Look After This Bear. Thank You”. Other key things to know – he’s very partial to marmalade, which by the way we are too. Got a recipe that you think PB would like? Send it to us with a photo and we’ll add it to our recipe section, Cooking Up a Storm on our newsletter The Splash. And the best bit? The auction of the statues will benefit children at risk, supporting the NSPCC.
