We love a party and so do our friends the marvelous mums from Mumsnet Tower Hamlets, and what better spot than our all time favourite Stepney City Farm.
Diary Date: May 12th 2015 from 11-1 we’ve got together for a cafe take-over, bite sized first aid sessions taken from our very popular Emergency First Aid for Families session, parenting and childcare Question and Answer with Lecturer in Child Health, Jill Wheatcroft and some secret fun stuff and it’s all free. We can’t wait! The farm is open from 10-4 so if you want to stay on for a few hours more there’s loads to see. Mumsnet Tower Hamlets and Riverside Cares will be posting more info in the next newsletter and on twitter and facebook.
So why did we choose Stepney City Farm? It’s a very special place, a jewel in the very heart of our city. It’s not just a rural arts centre 10 minutes from Canary Whalf, it’s also a very special spot for children of all ages and adults too. A registered charity, It’s open all day 6 days a week plus bank holidays.
I was lucky enough to take part in a ‘Be a Farmer for the Day’ event with my family last year, it was the best fun and we learnt absolutely loads about farming and growing food. I guess that’s when we hatched the plan for a spring jamboree.
