Thinking about dressing up ideas at the moment and the notion of having an arty party kinda Halloween really appeals, with a cute add on to learn about the artists.
We just happen to be huge fans of OhHappy Day who nailed it with these terrific ideas a few years back. Putting the ideas together are actually super easy and we can have a little weep that Frida’s brow regime didnt take off and redefine plucking ….oh well.
Frida’s look comprises of pretty much any scarf – and a top with embroidery Roses in the hair and that monobrow – not got a skirt – no problem – Frida frequently wore trousers!
Inner artist or inner ear – you choose. So Vincent’s outfit is pretty simple and with the help of a pair of ear warmers wrapped in bandage and a false beard and you are away with the sunflowers. Of course now there is a bit of doubt about his motives in lobbing off his ear which just adds to the intrigue. Wanted to add a bit to the costume put some artists paint brushes in the top pocket or even mount a picture of one of Vince’s oeuvre on to a piece of board and carry that around for the costume parade.

Andy Warhol is the easy peasy tomato soupiest one of all – white wig, tins of soup and a black polo neck top if you want to add a bit extra for the parade any pair of large framed sunnies do the trick.
