Likely you feel the same as we do that this has been a momentous day, one our children will ask us about when they’re grown up and a later generation will likely study. If you joined our morning session together at Belsize Community Library now seems ages ago, instead of a mere 36 hours!
Whilst we hope you never have to test out all the skills you learnt, nevertheless to have that underpinning knowledges gives one a sense of comfort. We are big fans of the thursday meetings in the library, which are the result of a bunch of people who really cared putting their heads together, and as is often the case with that scenario, only good things come out of it. In this instance the brain storming gave birth to Connecting Parents. Think Parenting Hub and Meet-Up rolled into one.
The setting is perfect, the beautiful Belsize Community Library in Antrim Road NW3 every thursday morning from 10-12 and are a great mix of arts and crafts, scrap booking, tea & coffee and special sessions of interest to the group.
We were delighted to deliver our parent and child paediatric first aid session on June 23rd, huge date in everyone’s calendar, either because at some point during the day they would be voting for the country’s future or the impact of that vote would affect them, or because care of the torrential rain that fell the night before everyone might as well have come to the session by canoe! Jill Wheatcroft of Riverside Cares delivered the session which was very hands-on, parents came with their children, Jill came with her infant CPR training manikin so everyone could practice vital lifesaving skills and time was left for questions along the way.
Fancy learning together with your friends, family or colleagues? Drop us a line we have lots of options available and tailor-made ones too. Nip over to our Parenting Hub for heaps of stuff.
And date for the diary: Join us on July 10th for JW3’s one day Parent and Baby Fest, sessions and fun activities throughout the day at this great indoor/outdoor venue.
